Shropshire Union Canal
This dormer bungalow backs directly onto the Shropshire Union Canal in the popular village of Christleton on the outskirts of Chester. It enjoys direct access to the towpath via gates at the bottom of the garden, and there are fields directly opposite, on the other side of the canal. A few doors along you’ll find a popular Harvester with a canalside terrace, so you can eat at home or pop out for a meal if you prefer!
The house is approached via a large walled tarmac driveway with parking for multiple cars and an integral single garage. An open porch leads into a good sized entrance hall. You will immediately discover that the house feels spacious and is neutrally decorated, ready to add your own personal touches.
There is a useful snug or study to the front on the right, a downstairs cloakroom, and a good sized lounge with a bay window to the front on the left. To the rear a large open plan kitchen, dining and living room with a tiled floor stretches across the back of the house with double French doors leading out to the garden. The kitchen is well fitted and benefits from an adjoining utility room. A door on the left leads to separate room with a view over the garden, which could be used as a study, play room, or small dining room.
On the first floor there are four bedrooms. The master bedroom is at the rear. It is spacious and benefits from an en-suite bathroom. There are double doors with a Juliet balcony looking out over the garden towards the canal. There are two further double bedrooms and a single bedroom. Finally there is a family bathroom with a spa bath.
Immediately behind the house is a wide patio area. The remainder of the garden is mainly laid to lawn with a path in the center leading to the canal gate. There is plenty of scope to landscape the garden and make more of the canalside location.
